My name is David Black, though I publish my work as D.M. Black. I am a retired Christian farmer from Kilmalcolm. This website brings together poems and reflections shaped by a lifetime of farming, faith, and close attention to the natural world.
Much of what I write has grown from the fields and hills of Scotland, from the rhythms of the seasons, and from a Christian faith that has deepened through work, relationships, and reflection. These writings are shared in the hope that they may offer encouragement, insight, and a sense of the sacred woven through ordinary life.
