Faith & Service

My Christian faith has been central to my life, not as a fixed possession, but as a journey shaped by work, relationships, and experience. Farming has provided countless illustrations of spiritual truth — seasons of waiting and growth, dependence on forces beyond control, and the quiet faithfulness required of daily labour.

One of the most formative chapters of my life was my involvement with Teen Challenge, a Christian organisation supporting men and women seeking freedom from addiction. A cottage on our family farm was gifted for use as a rehabilitation centre, and through that place I witnessed lives changed through hope, discipline, and grace.

Those years deepened my understanding of the gospel as something lived rather than spoken — love expressed through action, patience, and presence. The stories of transformation I witnessed there continue to shape both my faith and my writing.
